Matar Paneer Tikki
Patties made from matar paneer (cottage cheese and green peas in a tomato based gravy)
Ingredients
- Paneer (cottage cheese), grated- 200 grams
- Green peas- 100 grams
- 2 Medium sized boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 Small, chopped onion
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- Ginger-garlic paste- 1 1/2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder- 2 tsp
- Cumin powder- 1 tsp
- Turmeric- 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Garam masala- 1 tsp
- Amchur powder- 1/2 tsp
- Cornflour- 3 tsp
- Chopped coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
- Semolina- 1/2 Cup
- Oil for frying
Method to Prepare
Add the paneer, green peas, potatoes, onions, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric, garam masala, amchur powder, corn flour and coriander in a bowl and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry the tikkis till they are golden brown in colour. Serve hot.
