Paneer Kofta
Delicious vegetarian Indian dish.
Ingredients
- Paneer, mashed- 250 grams
- Milk- 1 Cup
- Salt to taste
- 6 Raisins
- 1 Tomato
- 1 tbsp oil for deep frying
- Ginger-garlic paste- 2 tbsp
- Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder- 1 tsp
- 2 Chopped onions
- Cream- 1/2 Cup
Method to Prepare
Mix together the cottage cheese, half of the onion, salt and raisins in a bowl. Grind remaining tomato and onions into a fine paste, divide into small portions. Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry the balls at a medium heat till they are golden brown in colour. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion-tomato puree and saute for 5-6 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 more minutes. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well, ook for one minute. Add milk and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add dry fruit paste and mix well, add cream. Check the seasonings. Add the fried balls and mix. Cover with a lid and cook for 3-4 minutes. Serve hot.
