Paneer Yogi
Sauteed paneer cubes cooked in a yogurt based gravy.
Preparation Time- 10 minutes
Cooking time- 20 minutes
Serves- 4
Ingredients
- Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into 1/2 inch cubes- 250 grams
- Yogurt- 3/4 Cup
- Salt- 1 tsp
- Sugar- 1 tsp
- Cashews- 1/2 Cup
- 5 Green chillies
- 2 Green cardamoms
- Cinnoman- 1/2 inch stick
- 2 Cloves
- Ginger, chopped- 1/2 inch
- Oil- 4 tbsp
Method to Prepare
Blend yogurt, salt, sugar and one green chilli into a smooth paste. Make another paste of cashews and three green chillies and set aside. Chope one green chilli and set it aside. Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan. Add paneer and saute for 3 minutes and sprinkle salt on it and keep aside. Heat the remaining oil in a non-stick pan. Add cardamoms, cinnamon, cloves and ginger and saute for 1 minute. Add the cashew-chilli paste and stir on a low heat for two minutes. Add yogurt and keep stirring. Add salt, chopped chilli and cover and cook for one minute. Add the paneer and keep stirring slowly. Remove and serve hot with chapatis.
